But this is naturally derived sugar alcohol, which does occur naturally in fruits and other fermented foods. I don't use it very often, it just kind of worked well here, I usually use it in tea.

I usually do use dates, although for a nut butter, I would probably use agave for another type of sweetener.Ginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09494930099769120594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5846907570502763320.post-62229792128934479382009-01-04T08:32:00.000-08:002009-01-04T08:32:00.000-08:00What a great idea! I just made the PB in my food processor :)

Heather, that PB sounds awesome. There is some kind of "enhanced" peanut butter at my grocery store, but it has egg whites in it. Not only unnecessary, but odd, no?

Larisa, I do hope you try making your own, it is yummy! The sweetener and salt are both kind of added to taste, I like it sweet.

Erica, you sound like me, my entire kitchen has been in storage for the past 18 months, I can't wait to move and be able to take it all out again. I miss my toaster oven.

Theresa, I have heard this too! I don't know why, but I was expecting them to be gross, but they're really pretty good.

Juliet...hello! Thanks for coming by, happy new year :)

Diann, I totally agree about the Z-sweet. I used some in a bread once, and it was definitely grainy and kind of weird.

Jenn, I have never had hemp milk...they sell it at my health food store and I always contemplate it, but have yet to actually buy it. I should!

Nutritious is Delicious, they are really interesting. I should have posted a picture of the actual seeds, they don't look anything like what I expected them to.

Lovlie, I am sad for your nut allergy! I haven't baked any more with Z Sweet, but it seems to be more suited to non-baked recipes.aTxVegnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17949520229934543457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5846907570502763320.post-42188754919629586532009-01-02T17:48:00.000-08:002009-01-02T17:48:00.000-08:00Nice!
